USA Training Centers offers a variety of programs throughout the year. The information below will provide you with a description of our clinics that are offered during the winter and spring months. Our summer and school vacation camps are similar in content to our general skills clinics. However with the longer duration of the camps, more material is covered.
Baseball/Softball Instructional Training
For the younger ages (7-9), our programs cover all aspects of the game such as throwing and catching techique, hitting, fielding fundamentals, and base running. At the early stage of baseball/softball development, it is important that the player learns the proper techniques of the game in order to grow their confidence.
For the older ages (10-12), our programs emphasize advanced fielding concepts, such as learning how to read the bounce, improving fielder's soft hands, and specific postition play and situations. During the hitting portion of the clinic, the hitter will focus on bat speed, power, and pitch recognition.
Grip & Rip Hitting
This class aims to help the hitter hit to all fields, improve bat speed, and utilize the legs in the baseball/softball swing. The class will also use a variety of drills including resisted swing drills as well as weighted hand drills.
Power Hitting
This course is designed for intense AAU/High School athletes with the ability to work hard to help them prepare for the new season. Participants must have sound mechanics. Elastic cords, medicine balls, and weighted hand drills will be used with other tools to improve the hitter's strength and power in the swing as well as pitch recognition.
Next Generation Pitching
This program focuses on identifying the athlete's most efficient way to throw the baseball. The class will emphasize correct mechanics, and help the future ace learn how to consistently throw strikes. These attributes will be taught in a fun atmosphere to allow the students to enjoy the game.
Softball Rookie Pitching
This class focuses on correct mechanics for softball windmill pitching and helps the student learn gow to consistently throw strikes. These key attributes will be taught in a fun atmosphere to allow the participant to enjoy the game.
USATC offers a futures program for the younger generation, ages 4-6. Here, the future superstar will gain insight into how to catch and throw, how to hit, and learn the basic fundamentals to help them have more fun during their first baseball/softball experiences.
